  PROMETHEUS

What's to say? Except. RIDLEY SCOTT IS BACK, BITCHES! Prometheus is wonderful, magnificent, brilliant sci-fi/horror on a grand, epic scale. I loved it, loved it, LOVED IT! (Sorry for shouting but I'm very excited about this film.) A couple things to keep in mind when going to see this film. It isn't an "Alien" pre-quel. I think this would explain some of the negative reactions to the film. In Ridley's own words Prometheus "shares DNA with Alien", but that's where it ends. It is its' own thing, and that's good! There are a couple plot holes, not even holes, really, more like minor character stumbles. However, what I've noticed with a lot of Ridley films, is that they get better and better the more you watch them. Everything is as good as it gets; from special effects to acting to costuming to cinematography. On a special note, and this speaks to Ridley's mastery of film and telling stories, he used a great deal of prosthetic work and puppetry, rather than rely on superfluous and cheap C.G.I. He needs to be commended for that.

Prometheus, Ridley Scotts' first sci-fi movie since Blade Runner gets a FOUR COURSE MEAL review, of course.
